64 Kb of data on a server is an enormous amount of data. In a text file on average with standard font and font size one Kb of data is roughly 1/2 a page of data. Considering this is 64 Kb that just comes to show this is a lot of data that could be captured from a server. It comes to show you even a secure socket layer has its vulnerabilities. Exploiting the vulnerability is the hard part and even harder to fix it.
ReplyDeleteI found a really great blog that gives incredible amounts of info regarding the heartbleed bug. I blogged about the article and posted the link on the bottom. It provides links back to even MORE detailed info. The most important thing is that there is a fix and many of the sites affected have already implemented them. There are scans that can be done to check the sites ur visiting to make sure they are not still affected by it. Luckily, none of the sites I visit are having issues. I just can't believe this thing has been out for two years and they just now are letting people know about it.
